Society of Palmeraies Tongo.

Our Story

The Society of Palmeraies Tongo is an industrial and agricultural Cameroonian company established in 1994. We operate and develop palm oil , in order to extract by industrial processing of finished and semi -finished products for the needs of local, national and international popul aions. SOPALTO , based in Canton Tongo , was born from the desire of Mr Gabriel Fandja , its founder and current CEO , who wanted to fight against the rural exodus and youth unemployment through the development of a local economy conducive to their (youth) development.





Started from humble beginnings, SOPALTO agricultural fields are now nearly 250 hectares of land producing palm oil. Parallel to its agricultural activity, SOPALTO has acquired a processing plant able to transform its raw material: palm nuts . This plant achieves an industrially rich range of products including the famous red gold , crude palm oil .






This project is a vital investment in the local community. SOPALTO employs more than 50 people who for the most part enjoy housing ( an approximately 30 worker housing camp) provided by the company . This effervescence has re-energized the region. An elementary school and a state dispensary were created there . Many facilities , including a supermarket, a football field , a hotel and many others are now part of Tongo Township , a rural area where it is great to live in.









What We Do
We produce crude palm oil and many derived products from this crude oil. The wide range of Products offered by the SOPALTO span the following areas: food, cosmetics and semi- finished products used by heavy industries ( brewery , automotive, feed mill , etc. ) .
